    The Federal State Budgetary Institution "State Regional Center for Standardization, Metrology and Testing of the Sverdlovsk Region" (Federal State Budgetary Institution "Uraltest") has registered the Technical Conditions 32.30.14-003-86202084-2024 MULTIFUNCTIONAL INDIVIDUAL BREATHING SIMULATOR TDMFI 

    Scope of application
    The simulator is designed for individual use at home, in fitness clubs, on appropriate outdoor sports grounds, in the workplace and other places where it is possible to conduct short-term individual training of the human respiratory system. The simulator can be included in fitness programs.

    The main consumer characteristics

     

    The simulator is designed for healthy people who adhere to a healthy lifestyle (HLS); people of older age groups engaged in fitness; athletes. It allows you to train the respiratory apparatus – the muscles of inhalation, exhalation, as well as to conduct hypoxic, hypercapnic training, which favorably affect the metabolism of the entire body and, first of all, the brain. It allows you to increase physical endurance, resistance to adverse environmental factors (weather, ecology, industrial pollution), and psycho-emotional stress.

    In the ninth issue of the Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine, volume 172, the article "Effects of short-term inhalations of Xe and O2 gas mixture in the rehabilitation of post-COVID ventilation failure" was published.

    The article presents a theoretical rationale and a clinical case of relief of post-COVID ventilation failure with inhalation of Xe and O2 gas mixture. Pneumonitis of coronavirus etiology transforms saturated phospholipids of a surfactant into a solid-ordered phase disrupting surface tension, alveolar pneumatization and alveolar-capillary gas exchange. The molecular modeling (B3LYP/lanl2dz; GAUSSIAN09) demonstrated that due to the van der Waals dispersion interaction the Xe atom increases the distance between the acyl chains of phospholipids providing a phase transition from the solid-ordered phase to the liquid phase with the reduction of a monolayer of a surfactant surface-active film. The clinical case confirmed short-term inhalations of the Xe and O2 gas mixture relieve manifestations of ventilation insufficiency, increase SpO2 and pneumatization of the terminal parts of the lungs.

    The enterprise “Scientific Corporation “BIOLOGY GAS SERVICE”, Ltd, produces “Apparatus for Xenon inhalations of modifications SAKI, STAKI and PAKI according to technical condition 9444-001-86202084-2010”. SAKI modification apparatus is designed for using under the conditions of a hospital, outpatients’ department, sanatorium, and centers of rendering palliative aid. STAKI modification apparatus is designed for using in the stomatology consulting room and outpatients’ department. PAKI modification apparatus is a portable variant and can be used in any medical-prophylaxis establishment as well as in emergency ambulances and in rendering aid outside medical institutions. The cost of the apparatus of any modification is 600 000 roubles.
